No New Posts Yaphet Kotto
Many know this legendary actor from his work in “Alien” as the blue-collar mechanic “Parker”; and in “Blue Collar” as the streetwise autoworker “Smokey”; and in “Midnight Run” as FBI agent “Mosely”. Among a long list of other credits, he played a Bond villain in “Live and Let Die”, a monopolizing pimp in “Truck Turner”, and worked alongside Anthony Quinn in the urban classic “Across 110th Street”.

No New Posts Mickey Jones
Mickey will usually play a biker. If not, a bad ass. Or a bad ass biker. But he’s played gentle characters too – and was a drummer in “First Edison” and before that, the legendary Bob Dylan. In fact, Mickey was part of the famous tour where Dylan first went electric – much to the chagrin of perturbed folk fans. Mickey has pretty much done it all.

No New Posts Dee Wallace
“Phone Home” comes to mind when hearing the name Dee Wallace… being the mother in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster “E.T: The Extra Terrestrial”… But others know her primarily from “The Howling”. Dee also appeared in (among a long list of credits) “Cujo” and Peter Jackson’s “The Frighteners”.

No New Posts Michael Madsen
One of the modern kings of cool, Madsen’s been acting since the early eighties but the interview centers primarily on his groundbreaking role as the vile (yet somehow likable) gangster “Mr. Blonde” in Quentin Tarantino’s first film, “Reservoir Dogs”. This interview also includes a bonus section as Tim Tierney – nephew of “Reservoir Dogs” icon Lawrence Tierney and son of actor Scott Brady – shares about his uncle and dad.

My very first interview, Jennifer still racks an abundant number of hits on the site. Having starred in Brian De Palma’s “Sisters”, she also appeared in “Midnight Cowboy”, Woody Allen’s “Play It Again, Sam”, and the popular sitcom “Soap”.

No New Posts Lee Purcell
As smart as she is stunning, Lee Purcell played Al Lettieri’s gun moll in the Charles Bronson vehicle “Mr. Majestyk”, but is best remembered as beach girl “Peggy Gordon” in the John Milius surfer classic “Big Wednesday”. And she hasn’t stopped since, appearing in films like “Valley Girl” and recently appearing on the NBC TV-series “Persons Unknown”.

No New Posts Harry Northup
The character-actor Martin Scorsese considered his good luck charm, Harry appeared in each of the iconic director’s films from 1968’s “Who’s That Knockin’ At My Door” all the way to “New York, New York” in 1977… although he’s most recognized as “Dough Boy” in the 1976 Scorsese/DeNiro team-up “Taxi Driver”. He played the villainous cop in the teen angst classic “Over the Edge” and has appeared in many other films including “Used Cars” and the Oscar Winning “The Silence of the Lambs”.

No New Posts Peter Mark Richman
A character-actor who’s been going strong since the 1950s, Peter appeared in shows like “The Twilight Zone” (the episode “The Fear”) and many others throughout the years, including his own short-lived but well-remembered “Cain’s Hundred”, “Three’s Company” (as Crissy’s father) and as Blake Carrington’s dependability loyal lawyer on “Dynasty”. Horror fans will recognize PMR as the insult-spouting chaperone in “Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan”.

My second interview following Jennifer Salt, Belinda is a staple of cult films, including Joe Dante’s “Piranha” and then a bigger, juicier part in his follow-up, “The Howling”. She also appeared in “Gremlins” and many other films and television shows throughout the years.

No New Posts David Pollock
My third interview, one of the original “Bad News Bears”, David played pitcher “Rudi Stein”, who could hardly get the ball over the plate, thus replaced by Tatum O’Neil. But he remained as a tried-and-true outfielder in the original and both follow-ups, “Breaking Training” and “Go To Japan”.

Eddie began his career as a bully in the cult classic “Laserblast”, then went on to play a string of geeky characters beginning with “Grease”, “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”, and continuing with films such as “1941” and “Midnight Madness”, but is best remembered for his scene-stealing appearance in “War Games”.

“The Point it is”. D.W. Brown is best recognized as “Ron Johnson”, the audio consultant stud who takes the viriginty of freshman “Stacy Hamilton” in what’s perhaps the most beloved ‘80s sex comedies ever made, “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”. D.W. also appeared in “Weekend Pass” and “Mischief”, and currently runs an acting school with his wife Joanna Baron. And as an instructor, D.W.’s interview really delves into some insightful aspects of acting.

No New Posts Alan Dean Foster
My first author interview. I grew up reading Alan Dean Foster’s novelizations, including “The Black Hole”, “The Thing”, “Alien”, Clash of the Titans”, and something you might have heard of, “Star Wars” (as a ghostwriter for George Lucas), and the first “Star Wars” expanded universe novel “Splinter of the Mind’s Eye”. He also wrote (along with his own original work) nine brilliant Star Trek Log Books based on the short-lived but very cool animated series.

No New Posts Robbie Rist
Okay, so Robbie’s “Cousin Oliver” is said to have caused the fall of “The Brady Bunch”, but let’s face it, since Robert Reed was departing and most of the other kids were practically adults, the show was already doomed (he only appeared in the last six shows and, quite ironically, delivered the final line of the series). Robbie continued a bountiful career in TV and films, and provided many voice-overs including one of the shell-backed badasses in the original three “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” flicks.

The extra who’s more than just a face in the crowd, Terry can be seen clearly in films like “Carrie” (as a student), “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” (as a biker chick), and “Big Wednesday” (as a party girl)… to name just a few. But to really get to know about Terry check out the 2007 documentary “Strictly Personal”, which centers on movie extras i.e. background artists.
